Dinner for Two, 2013

An installment of videos in collaboration with Jessica Lukas.
Dinner for Two documents the social normalties of eating and preparing a meal. The meals presented in the series are eaten in a primal way with a sense of urgency. Taking away the use of utensils, manners, and general chitchat brings about a different definition to the 'art', or lack thereof of eating.

Each iteration of Dinner for Two brings about similar experiences. The table is set in a traditional manner in a public area. Diners at the table are then in agreement to share the meal in silence, without any interruption, and then complete their meal together.

The series is currently ongoing, with a live iteration performed during the reception of "HERE/NOW", an exhibition of time-based and ephemeral work, exhibited at the SOVA Projects Gallery (University of Windsor).
